Bognor Regis

If there’s one image that will always be synonymous with the West Sussex seaside town of Bognor Regis, it’s that of the Butlins Holiday Resort, which Billy Butlin built it in the 1960’s.

Tourism has played its part in the former fishing village since the 18th century, and its played host to convalescing royalty, and more recently film and television crews. Bognor Regis has been seen in the Tony Hancock film ‘The Punch and Judy Man’, and the TV travel series ‘Wish You Were Here’.

Visit Bognor and you can enjoy all the elements of a traditional seaside town, from the well-kept beaches and pleasant promenade, to amusements and souvenir shops, a pedestrianised high street and shopping arcades, several night clubs and a theatre.

A mix of the modern and the traditional, and the fact that Bognor is the sunniest town in the UK, makes this ‘mini Brighton’ a great place to experience a British seaside holiday.
