Haywards Heath

Although not an obvious tourist trap, Haywards Heath in West Sussex does have some selling points for visitors. The town is within easy reach of Brighton, London, and the traveller’s hub of Gatwick Airport, making it an ideal stop off point for a daytrip or afternoon out.

Within the town there are some interesting Victorian and Edwardian buildings, the Olympos Leisure Centre, Clair Hall Arts Centre, and a variety of shops to explore. Haywards Heath is also well known for its open spaces, which include Scrase Valley Nature Reserve and Munster Green Conservation area. Along with these protected areas, there’s also Victoria Park, which has facilities for tennis and skateboarding, and Beechhurst Gardens, which has a miniature railway, picnic areas, traditional croquet lawn, and playground.

It seems that this town has grown to become a great place to enjoy the great outdoors.
