4 members of staff at Goldsmith & Allcorn, the motoring specialists, were recognised this week for their long service and loyalty to the business which is based in Uckfield and Heathfield.
Chris Brown, Diane Miles, Ken Honess and Wendy Morris have together got a very impressive 102 years of employment, and Ken leads the way with 32 years of dedicated service to the company.
60 year old Ken, who lives in Bexhill, started at Goldsmith & Allcorn way back in August of 1980 as a lowly technician and has worked his way up to be the company’s senior MOT testers and workshop controller, His work at the garage and Vauxhall dealership has seen him oversee literally hundreds of MOT’s.
Wendy from Uckfield and Chris from Hailsham, both started in the parts department in 1991 and 1988 respectively, with Wendy currently working as the company’s full time workshop receptionist and Chris heading-up the trade side of the parts department.
Diane Miles started with the company in 1989 when the Heathfield branch first opened and has been service receptionist, bodyshop receptionist and is now customer care manager for the whole company as well as bodyshop receptionist. Diane loves her job and enjoys her relationship with customers, many of whom she knows personally having lived in Heathfield for a number of years.
