Raise money for cancer prevention by running in the Brighton marathon

The World Cancer Research Fund, the WCRF, are to offer the last few places still available in the 2013 Brighton Marathon to runners prepared to run and raise money for the charity.

The marathon, which is a sell out, takes place on the 14th April, and should be the biggest yet in both supporters and runners. The marathon will be broadcast live in its entirety on Channel 4.

Sarah Himelfield, Events Fundraiser at WCRF, said: “This Brighton Marathon promises to be even more exciting than the previous three with a great atmosphere in the city.

“By running for WCRF you will be raising funds for our education and research programmes, helping prevent cancer. We also give our runners a lot of assistance, such as full support from an experienced and dedicated member of our events team, a training plan as well as nutrition advice and fundraising tips.”

Runners will take in the roar of the crowd as they pass the city’s famous Pavilion before passing scenic views over the English Channel and South Downs, finally returning to the city and crossing the finish line near Brighton Pier.

Runners should call 020 7343 4200 or visit www.wcrf-uk.org/signup to race for WCRF.
